World Cup Full Speed

World Cup Germany 2006 is fast approaching and so am I, here at Soccerati. I will feature and closely watch the players of the game that defined and will continously define each and every happenings of the event that come every 4 years.

I shall look at those who will most likely dominate the game as well as those sleeper players that can come out of nowhere and steal the spotlight onto becoming the world superstar like Ronaldinho during World Cup 2002.

Below is a brief recap of the news and events I have written over at my FIFAWorldCup blog that happened in the last few months:

1. 32 teams have qualified in the tournament where Brazil remains as the top favorite among the crop, however, other teams are full of hope like England which seem confident enough to bring home the prize especially with David Beckham boosting team morale.

2. 12 cities to host the event which will bring diversity and greater challenge to all teams.

3. Coca-Cola toured the most coveted trophy in the world.

4. Fifa’s ridiculous banning of media from taking pictures of the event.

5. On a personal perspective; I have made predictions on the teams who will come out of their respective groups — A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H.

As the greatest sporting event draws near we shall bring deeper coverage on players looking for the movers and shakers of this year’s event. It should pick your interest and determine the people on certain age.

Stay tuned…
