What’s new with Ashley Cole? He just can’t keep his ass (errr his mind) settled on Arsenal. He was fined last year by discussing his transfer to Chelsea; and today he is being linked to a transfer to Real Madrid.
Well, he does insists he is staying with Arsenal — probably to avoid penalty and bad publicity.
If I were him, he should stay with the Gunners therefor adding marketability and money on his name.

The last time Wayne Rooney got his right foot injured through a broken fifth metatarsal took him out of the game for ten weeks. The doctor’s say his broken fourth metatarsal is taking him out of the game for six weeks? Oh really? The World Cup is starting in exactly 6 weeks time; that’s such a heart warming message by the team, at least it would not have England’s ratings dive that much considering he can still play.

How can I hate Lehmann? I never liked him when Klinsmann axed my ever favorite Oliver Kahn off the World Cup team. Furthermore, I hated Germany to win because Lehmann, for whom I have no love for, just kicked Oliver his rightful place.
But the superb play of Lehmann makes me re-evaluate my position and realize how much effort, talent and experience there is in this player who started from nowhere, remained positive about his place and slowly but surely developed into the kind of player he is today.

How could a five year contract with Craven Cottage be that bad? How could working with shrewd Coleman be that horrible, who after all made some smart moves in Diop and Collins John. Who would not want to work with someone who has an eye on spotting low valued players with great long-term value?
Oh it reminds me of Jerry Reinsdorf from the NBA who hit big time by underpaying an overachieving Scottie Pippen for the longest time of his career.

Alan Shearer’s force was felt for the last 18 years; with 379 goals in 733 club appearances and New Castle’s leading all time scorer, he is walking away from the game with head up high. It’s quite disappointing to see him go with everything that he has done. Though scheduled to end his career in 2006; he was forced to retire because of the injury suffered in the Magpies’ 4-1 derby win at Sunderland on Easter Monday. His torn medial knee ligament denies him of the last three games as well as finishing the season.

Who could deny him the title as the best and finest footballer to come out of the British Isle? The guy whom the press referred to as the “fifth Beatle” made his debut with United’s senior side in 1963 at the age of 17. Five years later he won both the European Player of the Year and Football Writer’s Player of the year awards.
His unbelievable skills at a very young age while playing for Manchester United was a great display of pace, strength, field vision and deadly shots coupled by his capability of rising above the greatest events.

The observer report Torinto’s efforts in developing the soccer program in Swaziland.
He said he realized whilst working in the country that talent was abundant and therefore developed interest to nurture the young players. Since his departure in 2001 after coaching Simunye FC, Torinto is now based in Canada, where he is running a schools football development programme.

The virus continues to spread. This is sooo bad, in the latest victim of the virus, Spurs captain suffered a stress fracture to the fourth metatarsal of his left foot which may not heal in time for the World Cup competition. This is really getting frustrating. Who would want to see the greatest sporting event in the world being won by a “complete” team rather than the “best” team? Barcelona midfielder Ludovic Giuly, who scored two goals in the qualifiers, was cut from France World Cup team in favor of Franck Ribery who has yet to play for the senior French team.
Giuly could not understand being left out of the team. I could not understand either how come coach Domenech who is a “nobody” in international football could replace him in favor of a player who has not proved anything.
If it wasn’t for the return from retirement of Zinedine Zidane, Lilian Thuram and Claude Makelele; Domenech’s pathetic coaching capabilities would not earn them a ticket to Germany.

Recently I posted that people should leave Wayne Rooney’s gambling activities. In response to the reported rift between Rooney and Owen, Beckham says that there is no problem between the two about gambling. He goes on to say that the only problem is their superstar centre-forward status.
Beckham who only plays horse racing and “snap”, said he never played any card games and doesn’t link anything to gambling. He publicly declares their togetherness is too strong to be affected from such things.
