Boa Morte outta Leave

Boa Morte How could a five year contract with Craven Cottage be that bad? How could working with shrewd Coleman be that horrible, who after all made some smart moves in Diop and Collins John. Who would not want to work with someone who has an eye on spotting low valued players with great long-term value?

Oh it reminds me of Jerry Reinsdorf from the NBA who hit big time by underpaying an overachieving Scottie Pippen for the longest time of his career.

It isn’t really that bad if it was not Newcastle who is tracking down Captain Boa Morte. Oh yes, Boa is an intelligent man to say that he could score important goals in another club; or is it really a no “brainer” to determine that his current team is not bringing him anywhere near the elite circle.

Coleman though proudly announces how their Chairman has backed them up financially that would enable him to acquire players to further their bid of making the top ten club circle. How much was that man? How long before it takes you to realize that dream? As if you’re in a club where the best players would swarm, it would take sometime before you can claim how marketable your side is.

The 27-year-old Portuguese striker has the talent to grow in a club like Newcastle. Waiting for 5 more years is ridiculous. If this striker intends to make it among the elite circle then he should strongly consider transferring in a far better team. Though we can look at it in another light — where his legacy could be about transforming a team into a super power club.

Hmm, I am just not into this type of approach though. I always wanted to be in the best club possible and be the best player on that club.

It will take time to get there. The time to do it is now. So make it happen.

As a Fulham fan, I would hate to see him go, though I’m really resigned to losing him at some point. However, Newcastle are just a wannabe massive club. Boa deserves better than that.

I also don’t take too well to branding Fulham’s goal of reaching the Top 10 “a dream.” We’ve done it before. With the squad we have right now and a hint or two of consistency, it’s very possible.

Yup I believe Fulham can get there.

Just hope they stretch their budget farther. And if what they say is true about spending more in the years to come, then they should do well. :)
