Apple:Yao = Lenovo:Ronaldinho

“FC Barcelona and Ronaldinho bring world-class play and teamwork to the field, and they are always trying to improve his game. These traits resonate well with us at Lenovo – we believe Ronaldinho represents our culture of innovation and our pursuit of excellence.” Marc Ingla, Vice President of FC Barcelona, said:” We are very delighted to have Lenovo as our partner and have Ronaldinho to promote Lenovo and the FC Barcelona brand together globally. I believe the excitement of football combined with cutting edge technology will bring more happiness and enjoyment to people in the world”

Yao endorse Apple computers and now it’s time for Lenovo to have Ronaldinho carry their brand. What’s the connection between athletes and computers?

Sports throughout the years have scientifically evolved with the help of technology for pre-game analysis, scouting, player and team tracking, etc.; thus, the marriage of computers and sports icon.
I am a technologist by profession and I believe computers will become so advanced that players will be able to practice virtually and tremendously increase their skill level while reducing the risks of injury; or whatever wild but realistic ideas it could be.

I just hope teams don’t become winners through the power of their technology, I would after all miss the raw skill and talent brought by players on the field
