Perfect Excuse for England

I can’t help but wonder if England does have a reasonable chance in the upcoming World Cup? I don’t think they ever became favorites especially when Brazil is around as well as Lehmann’s outstanding play coming right on time.

Nevertheless the team always believed they have a chance for glory in Germany.
Though I agree with what I have gathered so far from a number of sites, mailing list, forums and even a comment made here in soccerati about England’s chances in Germany. None. What they have is a Perfect Excuse not to win the title.

AsMichael Owen, Ledley King and Wayne Rooneyhley Cole, are all on the edge of missing the games in Germany. Phew. That is indeed a perfect excuse to lose. What do you think Sven?
Yeah right, Michael is most likely going to play; sorry Eriksson, minus a point from a “perfect excuse score card”. Aside from Michael, I hope the other players get in top form during the games too.
