Hiddink Don’t be Too Ambitious
What does Hiddink mean by this?
This game has the potential to shape the way the public view football in Australia and it’s important I allow the team to go out and play the Australian way.
That means going for it and attacking the Brazilians. That’s the Australian way, not being meek and mild and failing to try and make a statement.
This team isn’t like that, and I don’t want to try and hold them back. They have that great Aussie spirit and I want them to show it.
It will be a massive test for them and if we lose the match and maybe end up not qualifying for the second phase, then we have to take that risk.
From where I stand I don’t think it says anything about playing any of the four yellow card players of Australia namely: Grella (33’); Moore (58’); Cahill (68’); Aloisi (78’). Does attacking Brazil means he will get all these players on the field and hope to win?
I must say that Hiddink should not be too ambitious and overconfident by playing all your four yellow card players and hoping to get past Brazil. Their lowly 1-0 win against Croatia does not mean you have a chance against them. A Brazil squad playing poorly would mean a draw for you, a Brazil squad playing fairly well means a win for them. Even if Ronaldo makes me sick they are still a very good team. Ronaldinho will definitely breakaway from the pack tonight.
I don’t have anything against Australia but I believe they have a good chance advancing to the next round if they win against Croatia. The way Croatia is playing right the Socceroos have a very good chance to win against them if they have all these four players on that match.
Forget about Brazil right now and you might get a chance to play them again
