Ashley Cole Disruption Is Over But Left Ripples Behind

I am glad that the Ashley Cole disruption is finally over, after dragging for months on his displeasure on staying with Arsenal and his team’s willingness to let go of him for an insane price.

As expected, no team would open their pockets the way Chelsea is capable of doing, and as such, he played his first game with Chelsea against Werder Bremen. Chelsea is making sure they make the most out of their Ashley Cole acquisition by compensating for their lack of strength from the wings by putting more people high up, leaving Cole a lot of ground to cover.

Good for Cole as he could prove he is fit compared to his “lazy” Arsenal players whom he blasted to continue the disruption he has brought the club: The brutal truth is that too many people played for themselves.

I saw too much rubbish, lazy players who didn’t pull their weight and schoolboy errors.

Some players were letting us get kicked and allowing team-mates to get bullied. Too many people took constructive criticism way too personally and wouldn’t talk to you for a week. So I learnt to say nothing to keep the peace in the dressing room.

This is in response to his autobiography serialized by the Times on his incapacity to work with his teammates as a source of his displeasure. Cole for one thinks too much of himself and even commented prior to the World Cup that he could carry England on his shoulders, then a few days ago admitted he was jealous of Thierry Henry. Cole, you are not at the top of the league amongst players, and if you’re unhappy with your autobiography start looking at yourself and not on your teammates.
