Beckham Answer His Critics

I have leaned towards the retirement of David Beckham instead of transferring to MLS;
but now, he insists he is not going anywhere and his mental strenght and toughness is going to help him bounce back.

It’s up to me to prove to people and to prove to the manager that I can play. When you are not in the team you have to work hard. Mentally and physically I feel as strong as ever.

You need games to get your fitness but I’ve kept up by working hard in training and doing extra in the evenings.

David is not getting any younger anymore and sometimes will power is not enough to compete. He may not going to be the Beckham of Old but definitely he is too good for an MLS league. As long as he remains mentally tough and disciplined enough to train harder, he has some good years left for him.
