Is there Still Time for Shevchenko?

Shevchenko’s dismal performance with Chelsea fueled rumors that AC Milan is negotiating a transfer to their club. The once upon a time superstar striker could not find his groove and has only managed to score three goals this season for Chelsea despite the £30m transfer.

Jose Mourinho to the rescue. He argues that the player is still finding his groove and compared his transfer to that of Thierry Henry who only managed to score 1 goal in 12 games following his transfer from Juventus. For one, Shevchenko is no longer a young project player and if he doesn’t get his act fast then he would be a bust acquisition.

Yeah Jose insists there are a lot of things they look at aside from statistics and the striker has been aggressive to push the ball. No matter what you say strikers are measure by their goals and assists. The
amount paid for Shevchenko is way too high for pushing responsibilities.

Jose is diplomatic by applauding the striker but for how long?
