Jamie Carragher Should Rally Steve not the Players

Why is Jamie Carragher rallying the players for their Saturday’s Euro 2008 qualifier against Israel in Tel Aviv?
Jamie says that the England players should play in the same fashion as they did during the Champions League this season. He stress the importance of winning against Israel especially after their sub-par performance with Macedonia and Croatia in October.

I second the motion that England players can thrive under pressure and one of Jamie’s example was their (Liverpool) comeback against Barcelona despite being in Europe.

I believe that Jamie should rally Steve McLaren more than anyone else if they are going to survive Israel.
Jamie should at least give a hint that Steve’s 4-4-2 formation is not suited for Jamie and Phil in the back line. Jamie needs to put some inspiration on Steve to start being aggressive and intelligent risk taker by fielding in Gareth Barry who is playing exceptional football at the right back for Manchester City.
Also, why run 2 players at the striker position when Rooney is the only player at a high level in England right now? The rest would be nuisance strikers disrupting Rooney.

Lastly, it’s time to put some sense on Steve and put David Beckham back; he may not be the best player but he sure is the most experience leader on England.
