Beckham Should Retire Rather than Play in MLS

David Beckham is having a terrible season with Real Madrid because he is spending more time on the bench than on the pitch. Fabio Capello, Real Madrid manager, has blamed Beckham’s drop in performance because of getting sacked from the England squad. Beckham resigned right after he failed to lead England to the World Cup 2006 Finals but little did he know that he was no longer needed by the team. Probably he felt he was going to be kicked out as a captain and a resignation would save his morale and reputation.

People are speculating that he will be transferring to MLS after he stalled contract extensions with Real. Los Angeles Galaxy is keen on signing David and has said they are seriously studying adjustments on their current salary cap of 1.9 million dollars.

1.9 million dollars is pathetic and they have a long way to go if they are to sign David Beckham. But why would David play at MLS? How in the world can he be proud of dominating MLS league. I would think he would have a harder time in friendly game across Europe than playing the most competitive game in MLS. Sure Pele went there but not after winning ton loads of World Cup titles, etc. He has nothing else to prove. David is the most popular underachieving footballer and scoring an average of three goals a game is nothing to be proud of.

David please retire while playing at the highest level of football than leaving playing the best games of your career in a mediocre league.
