Samuel Eto’o to Arsenal

Monday, February 26th, 2007

Samuel Eto’o is a brilliant striker whom Arsenal is going after with a £20million bid.

Chelsea on the other hand, particularly Jose Mourinho is also eyeing the player to team up with Didier Drogba next season. He said that they are prepared to match whatever offer Arsenal has for the striker.

Did he consult his owner about that? The last time I checked they are in financial disaster.

Capello Takes Back Stupid Decision on Beckham

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

Fabio Capello of Real Madrid has softened his stance on David Beckham and admitted he made a mistake to put the star on the bench for his remaining stay with the club after he signed with LA Galaxy (for a Holywood career?).

He added that whenever a player is in good form both physically and mentally he would be on the team.

What Would Tom Cruise Know?

Monday, January 15th, 2007

It is really funny. How could Tom Cruise help David Beckham decide on his move to L.A. Galaxy?

The celebrity star confessed he has talked with the star prior to his decision of signing with the MLS club. He said that Tom Cruise is a very wise man, and he talked with him for an hour for two successive nights.

David should have just talked with football coaches, or even to Pele who has already gone to the U.S. to play for MLS. These are the people he should be communicating with if he needs help on a footballing decision.

Anyways, David says he want to make a difference to the sport and take it to another level. The big difference he is going to do is to make everyone look poor because an average player in MLS only makes $100,000 annually.

If the league wants to make a difference and take it to another level they should just use the $250 million for football development projects that would help grow the sport not the Beckham Brand.

Why Would Beckham Be Surprised?

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

Eriksson was spotted watching a Dubai Cup match between Lazio and Marseille. Reports began circulating indicating that he is going to sign with Marseille; instead, he boldly says he is just there for the holidays and there wasn’t a chance he would join the club.

With Eriksson’s undeserving command for price, I believe him.

Carling Cup and Others Give Liverpool Something to Hope For

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

After their exit in the FA Cup Liverpool is still hoping to win other trophies which include Carling Cup where they will be facing the team that booted them out of the FA — Arsenal.

Dirk Kuyt looks hopeful and confident that one fallen Cup doesn’t mean anything since there are a lot more trophies to win.

Bad news for Dirk, Thierry Henry is going to play in that game coupled with a young and attacking unit that Arsene is going to deploy on the field. Arsenal is getting better each game and it is no surprise that they will have a runaway victory against Liverpool once again.
