Posting Update

Sunday, June 11th, 2006

Sorry for the comments I have not moderated right away. Thanks for Aaron who I supposed have moderated them.

Anyways, just after the Poland and Ecuador game my internet connection went dead and at 5 in the morning my provider reported on network problems that will be fixed right away.

36 hours after and having burned them on the line numerous times they still promise the same thing so I had to travel to go to the internet cafe for today’s posts.

Talk about timing. Anyways, I’ll find ways to keep on top of the events.

Thanks and I apologize for it.

Quick Note…

Saturday, June 10th, 2006

Fans are talking about the German side right now since they have already scored two goals and Costa Rica 1.

Two arguments:

1. Germany is not all Ballack…
2. Klinsmann should have put Kahn

Anyways, I am liveblogging the event right now here

I will be posting the players that scored the goals. So keep in touch here.

Do you have a seat in the World Cup? I do, though it’s online. Right now I am dressing myself to seat in the stadium.

I am back…

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

Hi guys! I am finally back here in Manila from my Bellevue business trip. I am still very tired and exhausted because for the last week I could only manage to get 2 1/2 hours of sleep because of jet lag and tons of activities. After 21 hours of travel I arrived at 2 a.m. this morning and still had to work for the next 20 hours catching up with back logs that has drained me to the last drop.

Anyways, I need one more day to get myself back in place (get real sleep) and things are all set to go from there. Also, I need to see and read my previous posts to remember where I left especially because I was pretty much in a hurry wrapping things up before I left.

See you soon…

What’s Going On Now?

Friday, May 19th, 2006

Oh men, I have been away for more than a week now spending all my time in technical stuff. Anyway, what are the hottest things going on right now? Have I missed much already? Or are the people still buzzing around Wayne Rooney and England’s upcoming excuses in not winning the tournament? (This is an advance posting.)

I Shall Return…

Monday, May 15th, 2006

Heads-up, if you have noticed a lot of my posts were made in advance. Sorry for not updating you early on (very hectic schedule); and this will continue until May 20.

I am in Bellevue, Washington right now realizing my dreams. I will see my super hero Bill Gates in person at last. :) I will need to focus my entire week learning and working with the best SharePoint experts in the world.

For someone who cannot afford one complete meal a day, only had two pair of pants…

Continue my story here.

Anyways, forgive me also for not moderating comments for the time being. I promise I will make it up to you guys…

I am in total disbelief and my adrenaline is soooo pumped up right now. :)

I shall return…

Amazing Soccer Goals + Fight

Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

This video compiles some of the most amazing goals scored. A goal coming from the center field seems impressive but I must say it tells a lot about the goalie manning the net for the ball to find it’s way starting from that distance. Unless the ball was travelling at lightning speed, the goalie ought to be reprimanded.

I also like the “banana” kick goals in the video. My friends and I fancied ourselves that we could execute that flawlessly since Grade 3. It remains to be a fantasy though.

At the end of the video, you will also see one of the greatest fights in football starring Diego Maradona. Please forgive the caption though because it describes Diego as “CHEAT”. I may not agree with it but I can’t delete it either.

Soccerati Position

Monday, April 17th, 2006

First of all, I am sorry for not having announced my vacation and the advanced postings I made since I only planned for a two day trip that got extended. :) Well, I am back from vacation and expect regular up-to-date postings.

During that 5 day fun I managed to sneak out and get online; I read an email from Aaron, our Channel Editor, to respond to a question on the main b5media blog.

Dave was asking about what player development is about since he was not able to read about unknown/young players being reported.

To clarify things, I recognize the fact that player development does gives the impression about young/unknown players reported.

As I have explained player development encompass every level — from prospects-elite players-retiring players. This means that I shall be covering not only young players but also players who made it to the top and have continuously raised their level to the next and next and next… Likewise, players whose development and growth starts to regress and suffer a downhill slide shall also be reported here.

While recent postings I made are World Cup centric, players remain to be the theme of this blog and World Cup reports will continue as the greatest sporting event in the World is happening in less than two months.

Over time, this blog will evolve on players on different leagues and competitions. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
