Perfect Timing for Gonzalo Higuain

Friday, December 15th, 2006

19-year-old Argentine superstar striker will greatly benefit from the current veteran squad of Real Madrid should he sign with them for a reported €13 million (£8.1 million). David Beckham, Ronaldo and Ruud Van Nistelrooy would be able to teach and help this guy mature quickly and could become the cornerstone of the organization.

Another Kid for England Named Richards

Saturday, November 11th, 2006

England is fond of kids. First there was Theo Walcott who looked liked he had some magical and mystical Anakin Skywalker like powers to help England win the World Cup Finals. Well, everyone knew how much time he spent on the field during the FIFA World Cup Finals. Now there comes 18-year-old Micah Richards, a defender of Manchester City.

He is a quick and strong full back but less than 12 months in the premiership and an over hyped performance at Manchester City doesn’t make him at par with Neville. He has gone from a kid straight to the senior team surpassing Theo Walcott, the original boy wonder.

You really can’t understand and see where Steve is going with England. It could be a difficult and lonely years ahead of them.

I would rather see Gago on Barcelona than Real

Sunday, November 5th, 2006

Fernando Ruben Gago, 20-year-old plays for Bocat Juniors and has recently made headlines because both Real Madrid and Barcelona are going after him. He is a young midfielder who sees the field pretty well and is able to move the ball around. Gago is thrilled by the prospect of playing on big clubs particularly on Real Madrid which he says is his personal dream.

Chelsea Shopping Once Again

Saturday, November 4th, 2006

Chelsea just can’t stay put even if they are leading the league. The club is looking to snatch Aaron Lennon from Spurs for Shaun Wright-Phillips and some cash. They failed in their bid to get Lennon before and are making a serious bid to get him on the January transfer window. Aaron has already paid his dues playing for Spurs which made him together with his World Cup display valuable to a top club such as Chelsea.

Will Spurs give him up? I don’t think so. Lennon’s contract runs until 2010 and they are expected to see this player grow more and more as the years go by more than the value of Shaun + Cash. Spurs will seriously consider it though, but I doubt it’s going to pull through.

A Vote Goes to Walcott’s Agent

Friday, September 29th, 2006

Good job on Walcott’s agent for snubbing Chelsea and convincing Theo Walcott to sign for Arsene Wenger instead of Chelsea.

He has revealed that Arsene is the most genuine and decent man he has ever met, and playing for him could help Theo Walcott finish with 75-100 caps and a cabinet full of medals.

As a result, he is slowly making it to the first team of Arsenal, and with his youth on his side, Theo Walcott may be on his way to one of the best footballers we have ever seen.

I just hope his head don’t grow as big as Ashley Cole.

Johann Vonlanthen Should Settle For Juventus

Friday, September 29th, 2006

It would be hard for Juventus to go after superstars after their scandal, and Buffon, their last man standing is about to move on as well.

It would not be a surprise if players like Johann Vonlanthen are eyed by Juventus to put some firepower and respect back to their club and a rising player looking to raise their value should be a winnable negotiation.

Arsenal Should Make the Deal on Reyes Good

Monday, August 28th, 2006

Arsenal needs to do a number of things immediately after starting the season with humiliation and disgrace on getting beaten by Manchester City on Saturday.

One of the things they need sorted out quickly is the case of Reyes who repeatedly said he doesn’t want to remain in England anymore and would like to go back to Spain either with Real, Atletico or Seville.

As discussed, Arsenal will rely heavily on the rapid growth of their young players if they will come out on top of the standings when the season ends otherwise their end will come sooner than expected. They managed to squeeze their way to fourth place on the last day last of competition last season when their young players unexpectedly grew and matured faster than they expected.

Cesc Fabregas 100th Game was Memorable

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

Cesc FabregasWithout Thierry Henry, Ashley Cole and Jose Antonio Reyes, Arsenal led by Cesc Fabregas playing well on his 100th game proves the depth of their team on winning against Dinamo Zagreb 3-0.

Arsenal was playing a qualifier game against Dinamo for qualification in the Champions League despite playing against FC Barcelona in the Final since they only finished fourth in their league.

Jermaine Pennant from Prison to Liverpool

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

Jermaine PennantYou cannot help but smile when a player notorious enough to play with an electronic tag in Premiership because of drink-driving despite being banned and with no insurance suddenly rejuvenated because of a dream come true (I know the feeling when a childhood dream become a reality) fairy tale scenario.

After a series of unpleasant driving and alcoholic behavior behavior, he admits that now is his chance to reinvent himself as he was signed by Liverpool to man the right-side midfield previously reserved for Daniel Alves of Sevilla but was too costly for £12million.

Ronaldo Lacks Attention

Saturday, July 15th, 2006

Christian RonaldoChristian Ronaldo, the Portugal player who could rival Allen Iverson in cross over moves and Jason Williams in fancy dribbling lacks attention and as such created quite a buzz with on a series of antics from the World Cup up to his return to Manchester United.

What’s more surprising is that his special participation during the World Cup has brought about a new legion of Ronaldo haters forming a growing community of people who dislike him. The Wayne Rooney incident and his diving prowess did not contribute much to his loveliness and at the same time hurt his chances of winning the Best Young Player award.
