21-year old Sebastian Larsson, Birmingham midfielder, got his first call to join Sweden for the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Northern Ireland.
There were a lot of clubs willing to sign him. There were a lot of managers who spoke to him. There were so many fans waiting for him to play for their club.
In the end, it was all about dancing a tango with close friend Didier Drogba who was his team-mate at Guingamp.
Florent was reported to have signed with Chelsea for £13.5m.
Theo Walcott was supposed to have surgery after their game in Cardiff on Sunday but Arsene decided to postphone the operation because of an injury suffered by midfielder Diaby.
Going under the knife would mean that Theo will have to miss the rest of his domestic games which no longer appeals to Arsenal right now.
Theo is suffering from a shoulder ligament injury for a long time already and I just hope he could keep up the pace and stay healthy.
If the operation gets delayed, he may have to miss the start of next season.
It is rumored that the club is going to make a move to sign the star left-back, would Spurs open their pockets to get Andriy Nesmachniy? It is known how Spurs are budget conscious but recently they have stated they are opening their pockets to build a team capable of making the higher ranks.
Blackburn Rovers are interested signing the Ukrainian star but they would not be able to complete the £1.2m deal unless Lucas Neill switches to Liverpool which makes the race for him open to different clubs.
Would Spurs steal Andriy away?
The 6′ 7” giant in football should have gone and played basketball instead. He was not respected much when he made it in the England squad, and 19 games without a goal proved to much to think of him becoming a player needed by a club such as Liverpool.
Don’t look now, 11 goals in 14 internationals has transformed the image of Peter Crouch and is being compared to the accomplishments of Wayne Rooney whom he matched in a fraction of games played.
Glenn Roeder at Newcastle was pressured when he signed Inter Milan player Obafemi Martins for £10million during the summer but his goal on the 47th minute and 50th minute over Levadia Tallinn has given the boss some breathing room.
Martins has already scored three goals for the club and he is expected to score 17 more goals to become a worth investment. Strikers are expected to score in that range and it is believed Martins is going after that standard otherwise his stack is going to fall faster than his rise.

Defender Gallas gave Arsenal their first lead on Emirates Stadium against Sheffield United and was able to score his first goal for the club as well. As expected, Arsenal was able to live up to Thierry’s cockiness before their game against Sheffield; but Gallas’ performance gives Arsene Wenger a lot to be happy about since his prized acquisition will be vital if they are going to win in Europe this season.
Louis Saha with four goals in six games is showing the reason why Ruud Van Nistelrooy was kicked out of the club. We’re not taking anything against Ruud and he is still playing great ball right now at Real Madrid; but Louis Saha’s 28 year-old frame could mean a number more years of great football for Louis Saha.
Can Louis continue the pace? We still have to see him perform and score important goals for the club. Two of his four goals came against a lesser team Celtic and he wasn’t able to score against a bigger club Arsenal. It would take time to determine if Louis can finally fill-in the shoes of Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Alex Ferguson has helped Saha develop and mature from his previous playing from Newcastle into who he is today. Alex will definitely spend more time with Saha as it is clear of his value to the team after snatching attention and importance from prolific striker Ruud.
Yaya Gnegneri Toure, the younger brother of Arsenal and Cote d’Ivoire defender Kolo Toure, was born in Cote d’Ivoire on May 13, 1983.
This young and promising player started with ASEC Abidjan academy before transferring to Belgium club KSK Bereven at the age of 18. He did not have an impressive performance in scoring only 3 goals in 70 league matches for 2 1/2 seasons with the team.
In January 2004, he transferred to Metalurh Donetsk for 2.1million euros and eventually landing with Olympiacos CFP on 2005 for a three year contract.
His performance in the recently concluded African Cup showcased his versatility as a midfield player that had Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus and Arsenal showing interest on him.
He has the speed to clamp down on opponents making their world relatively small in the midfield.
If he plays incredible in World Cup 2006; it shall dramatically improve his value and asking price. So expect a blast from him.
