Profile: Cesc Fabregas
In this series of posts we shall look at the most promising young players who will soon capture our imagination and become the biggest stars of the game. As of this writing we are still awaiting Luis Aragones’s decision and hopefully we get to see this kid play in the upcoming World Cup in Germany. We continue with Francesc Fabregas. (This is an advance posting.)
The future of Arsenal has a chance of catapulting himself to elite status by being the star of Spain in the upcoming World Cup competition. Putting aside both Raul and Xavi’s poor physical conditioning, this kid has the maturity as a midfielder providing the opportunity to strikers to get the ball behind the net.
This soon to be Arsenal superstar has enjoyed a successful career at FIFA U-17 World Championship Finland 2003 by winning the best player and top scorer awards.
Starting his career at the age of 16 on the Arsenal side saw his career blossom as one of the influential players of the team. Coach Arsene Wenger of Arsenal has full confidence in this kid and has given him every opportunity to develop with the team.
His young career highlights include:
1. Became Arsenal’s youngest first team player
2. Youngest goalscorer in League Cup
3. Youngest Arsenal player to appear in a continental club
4. Youngest goalscorer in Europe
5. Second youngest player to pull on the Spain jersey
This kid has the gift of brilliantly evading tackles, continously executes precision passes and has the ability and instinct to hit the ball for a goal.
This kid is confident and looks forward to play in the upcoming World Cup competition.
“I’d love to partner Xabi in the Spain midfield during the World Cup. I think we’d do well together. Our games complement each other and it would be unbelievable to win the tournament playing alongside him.”
I make my case on Francesc’s maturity on the field in this video.
