Quick Note…
Fans are talking about the German side right now since they have already scored two goals and Costa Rica 1.
Two arguments:
1. Germany is not all Ballack…
2. Klinsmann should have put Kahn
Anyways, I am liveblogging the event right now here…
I will be posting the players that scored the goals. So keep in touch here.

1) Considering the beautiful game revolves around a playmaker you can say the hopes of Germany rest on whether Ballack plays or not. Not against a side like Costa Rica, but when you get to the stronger stages no playmaker in your 11 leaves you useless.
2) Obviously you didn’t watch Kahn play this year. His form for Bayern was downright pathetic while Lehman was a stud for Arsenal. As a coach you put the keeper who is playing the best in the goal, not the one you recognize the most. He let in two goals against Costa Rica, two one on ones which was the fault of the defender keeping Wanchope onside knowing full well that once he breaks away you can’t catch him

Hi Scrivs,
Good point. I actually written a post about Kahn’s costly mistakes — http://www.soccerati.net/kahn-is-the-beast/ I must admit I was a little biased on that one saying that it’s a psychological problem that should go away once Klinsmann instill confidence in him again. After that, I wrote about my growing love for Lehmann http://www.soccerati.net/love-for-lehmann/ and I was leaning more on him already. :)
Anyways, those two arguments I made came from the fans as I stated in the first sentence of the post. :) They came from the chat room I was in and people were echoing on those arguments.
Sorry for the confusion there…
Though Good point man. Thanks!

When Costa Rica scored a goal (i forgot which one) and Lehmann was just standing there, the camera’s cut immediately to Kahn who had a priceless look on his face. That look was great.
But I do think Lehmann is a lot better then Kahn, although he has been a great keeper for many years.

Oh yeah, both goals wasn’t a high arching speeding shot. A younger Kahn would have saved those two for sure. Though the Kahn today may not or probably he think otherwise and feel he should be there. We’ll see how many more goals the opponents score against Germany.
