William Gallas Makes Trumping of Ashley Cole Look Good
Arsene Wenger would look very good if William Gallas continue to develop into a mature and great player while Ashley Cole continue to struggle in covering a lot of ground in Chelsea’s diamond formation.
Defender Gallas gave Arsenal their first lead on Emirates Stadium against Sheffield United and was able to score his first goal for the club as well. As expected, Arsenal was able to live up to Thierry’s cockiness before their game against Sheffield; but Gallas’ performance gives Arsene Wenger a lot to be happy about since his prized acquisition will be vital if they are going to win in Europe this season.
The last thing Arsene needs is an individualistic ego driven superstar mentality in Ashley Cole who thinks he is bigger than Thierry Henry. William Gallas has a winning mentality, doesn’t indicate any form of jealousy against Thierry and works well within a system putting aside individualistic heroics. Gallas says that he feels good about his team’s chances and he is seriously helping win all the way to Europe.
If William Gallas helps Arsenal enough to beat Chelsea and go all the way to Europe then Arsene Wenger will have a feast day remembering the time they struggled with Ashley Cole. I am confident William is going to grow while Ashley sinks in status.
